This is a service that enables the National ID applicant (Citizen or resident alien) to fill out the National ID application form electronically from anywhere. After filling the form, the applicant will be required to print it and submit it together with other documents to the NIDA Office (district) near him to complete the registration of biometric marks

Important considerations for filling out the form

In order to register and obtain a link to finish his registration, the applicant must have an email address.

  • The candidate must possess at least two identification-proving documents. Birth certificates and other such documents are a few examples.
  • The applicant is required to scan all of his supporting documentation and upload it in PDF format (no more than one page per attachment) or as JPG or PNG images.
  • The applicant must enter his cell phone number, which is crucial.
  • If the candidate was born in 1980 or later, a birth certificate must be attached. Additionally, the applicant must include a birth certificate or Affidavit” if he was born prior to 1980.
  • It is preferable to write applicants’ other names so that they can be easily identified in the event that their names need to be changed.
  • The candidate must be able to identify his parents.
  • An applicant who has his or her parents’ National Identification Numbers (NIN) is expected to preserve the original documents (for parents who have already obtained national identification cards).
  • The applicant must be aware of his home’s street, ward, and house number.
  • In order to appropriately fill out the residence, Street/Nation part, Tanzanians who are overseas must receive confirmation of residency in the relevant country from the Tanzanian Embassy Officer.
  • It is preferable to attach if the applicant has gotten school transcripts, a taxpayer identification number (TIN), and a voter card.
  • The applicant must correctly complete the Form and make sure that any attachments and information entered into the system do not conflict with other data, such as information about their school or place of employment.
  • The applicant must correctly fill out all required fields, print the information on a form, and then visit the local government office where he resides to obtain the Local Chairman’s Seal and Signature.
  • To complete the registration process, the applicant must show up at the NIDA office in his district of residence with a filled-out form (stamped and signed by the local government chairman) and hard copies of any attachments he uploaded during registration.
