The Confederation of African Football or CAF (Swahili: Shirikisho la Mpira wa Miguu Barani Afrika, French: Confédération Africaine de Football, Arabic: الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم, romanized: Al-Ittihad Al-Afriki Likurat Al-Qadam) is the administrative and controlling body for African association football.
CAF represents the national football associations of Africa, runs continental, national, and club competitions, and controls the prize money, regulations, and media rights to those competitions. CAF is the biggest of the six continental confederations of FIFA.

Since the expansion of the number of teams at the World Cup finals to 32 in 1998, CAF has been allocated five places, though this was expanded to six for the 2010 tournament in South Africa, to include the hosts. However in 2017 the FIFA Council further expanded the tournament to a 48 team starting from 2026 which will see CAF been allocated 9 places in the tournament. Adding to the intercontinental playoff tournament involving six teams to decide the last two FIFA World Cup places (46+2), CAF will have an opportunity of 10 places.

Victorien Adebayor

Adebayor Zakari Adje (born 12 November 1996) is a Nigerien professional footballer who plays for Niger Premier League club USGN, on loan from Danish 1st Division club HB Køge.
In 2016, Adebayor had trials with Ligue 1 sides FC Lorient and AS Monaco but was not offered a deal at either club.
On 29 August 2018, Vejle Boldklub in Denmark announced the signing of Adebayor from Inter Allies on a loan deal until 30 June 2019.However, one month later, the club announced that they wanted to terminate the loan deal because Adebayor did not show up as agreed and the club had not been able to get in touch with the player
