Azam Sports Federation is the second largest championship in Tanzania after the Tanzania NBC Premier League

This tournament has had a great attraction for Football lovers in Tanzania, especially after having the opportunity to represent in the International Championship.

The champion of this championship is the one who represents in the CAF Confederation Cup and for almost two seasons, representatives have been going to about three from the NBC Premier League and one from the Azam Sports Federation Cup, although the rules have been changing several times on giving a representative

Simba Sc

Simba Sports Club is a football team based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in the neighborhood of Kariakoo.

The club, which started in 1936 after a big Tanzanian football team split off, was first called Queens in honor of Her Majesty, the Queen of England. From Queens to Eagles to Sunderland, the club has had many names. In 1971, they gave Simba a new name (Swahili for “Lion”).

Simba SC has won 22 league titles and five national cups. They have also been in the CAF Champions League more than once. They are also one of the biggest clubs in East Africa. They have won the CECAFA Club Championship six times.

The Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is where Simba plays its home games. In 2022, Simba’s Instagram account had 1.9 million followers, which was an increase of 89% from the year before. This made it the fastest-growing football club account on Instagram. [1]

The club is one of the wealthiest in East Africa. For the 2019/2020 season, they have a budget of Sh 6.1 Billion, which is about $5.3 million.
