The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that over 1.4 million applicants have successfully completed the current 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, with the results expected to be issued shortly.

As of April 9, 2022, 1.4 million candidates had taken the exam across the country, with examination towns and centers having completed their allotted number of candidates for the year, and the results of sessions already taken would be released to the respective candidates soon, according to the Board.

JAMB, in a weekly bulletin made available to journalists by the Board’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said the results would be released with the caveat that after viewing the CCTV footage of the examination’s conduct, any candidate’s result found wanting would be withdrawn if it had already been released or withheld if it had not yet been released.

The Board went on to say that as the inspection progressed, it was delighted to report that there had been no major problems since the state reports confirmed the authenticity of the previous reports received from different accrediting teams.

The Board reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for examination breaches and advised applicants to behave themselves appropriately and adhere to all of the Board’s guidelines.

The 2022 UTME began on Friday last week throughout the country, with 1.7 million applicants registering to take the test.
The 11-day JAMB test, which is being held in over 755 Computer Based Test (CBT) Centers, will finish on May 16. Despite the fact that there are various laws in Nigeria outlawing sexual harassment, many victims are compelled to leave their dream employment, while others suffer from despair as a consequence of unwanted sexual approaches from coworkers.

Janet Abegunde’s supervisor told her one fateful day, “If you want to maintain your job and advance in your career, you must do what I say.” Miss Abegunde, a 24-year-old accountant who had just started her first work at a new generation bank, claimed she became depressed when her employer sexually assaulted her. JAMB will shortly reveal the results of 1.4 million candidates in the 2022 UTME.
