Check the status of your SRD R350 payment with SASSA.

Everything you need to know about the SASSA status check for the SRD grant, including the dates when you can get the money. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) says each month when the R350 Social Relief Grant will be paid out. This group is in charge of giving out and getting help from the government for the special Covid-19 Social Relief benefit. They are also in charge of people who get disability grants and child support grants.

SASSA Status Check

You can check on and get your R350 social grant payment in a number of ways. Find out how to use the Moya App to check your status. You can also use SMS or WhatsApp on your phone to find out what’s going on.

Getting paid with a bank account

Receiving payments through your bank account is probably the easiest and quickest way to get your grant. It also means you don’t have to wait in line at the Post Office. According to the grant application, the monthly amounts will be put into the beneficiary’s bank account. Please note that the bank information or cell phone number you give for payment MUST be registered in the name of the approved applicant used in the Covid-19 R350 grant application process. This is to make sure that payment goes to the right people.

Taking care of payments

If you don’t have a bank account, you can get your grant money from SAPO/Post Bank branches, Pick-N-Pay stores, or Boxer stores. Or a Mobile Money Transfer from a Bank (cash send option). You won’t be able to get the grant money until you get an SMS message letting you know that the payment has been confirmed. This week’s SRD Grant Payment Dates are listed in the table below.

How do I know what my SASSA status is?

A lot of people can’t get the R350 because when they check their sassa status online, it only says “pending” and they can’t get it. The official SASSA site just put out the following message for June 1, 2022:

Starting in mid-June 2022, payments for the new cycle of the special COVID-19 SRD grant (which starts in April 2022) will be made.

As soon as the bank details are confirmed, SASSA will continue making payments that were left over from the last cycle. The payments won’t be made all at once; they will be made one month at a time. There may be more than one payment in a month, but no one will get the same amount twice. SASSA will make all of these payments in one month until the backlog is cleared up. After that, payments will be made every month again.

What is the process for rethinking R350?

During the reconsideration process, they check the person’s personal information and income level again to make sure they are a vulnerable person. There have been recent reports that reconsideration requests are taking longer to be processed because it takes longer to talk to banks and financial institutions. Remember that you can’t get any other help from the government to deal with CoViD-19 and still get the grant.

How do I get my R350 Grant looked at again?

Go to https://srd.sassa.gov.za/, which is the SRD portal.
Click on the button that says “Application for Reconsideration.”
Then click “Click here to ask for a second look.”

When does the R350 Grant from SASSA end?

President Cyril Ramaphosa has said that the Covid-19 R350 government grant and payments of grants will be extended for the next 12 months, until March 2023. This was said on February 10 in Cape Town during the State of the Nation Address (SONA). People in South Africa hope that the Relief of Distress Grant will continue to help those who need it the most. The grant should be seen as a short-term chance to help people find new job opportunities. For any new SASSA application, check out the rules.

What does it mean when SASSA Status is Cancelled?

If the status of your SASSA R350 grant comes back as “cancelled,” it’s likely because you don’t meet the requirements to be a grant recipient. This could be because you get money from other sources, like grants or work, and don’t meet the SASSA Means test.
