Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium
Located in the Miburani sector of Temeke District in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the Tanzania National Main Stadium is also known as the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. In 2007, it opened up next to the previous national stadium, Uhuru Stadium. The Tanzania Premier League and the national team of Tanzania play their home games there.
It has 60,000 seats, making it the biggest stadium in Tanzania and the ninth largest in all of Africa. The government of Tanzania owns it. Beijing Construction Engineering Group spent $56 million to construct the stadium.
In 2008, the first Dar es-Salaam derby between Simba S.C. and Young Africans S.C. drew a sold-out crowd to the stadium.
Most league meetings between the two clubs are played in front of sparse crowds.
For the next 2019–2020 season, the club has announced a total budget of Sh 6.1 Billion (about $5.3 million).
