KCPE Results 2022 set to be released today
Following President William Ruto’s return from a trip abroad, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam results will be revealed today.
Before making the results public, the Education Cabinet Secretary and the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) will present and inform the President on them.
Dr. Ruto returned to Kenya on Monday night following a one-week trip overseas.
Some education officials who spoke with us yesterday said they had been told to be “on stand-by” in case they were asked to the New Mitihani House release ceremony on short notice.

This is the second-to-last edition of the KCPE exams before the 8-4-4 education system is totally phased out of the primary school curriculum the following year.
It will be Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu’s first KCPE examination release.
It will also be the first time that results from the new Knec headquarters, which took more than 35 years to develop, will be made public.
The release of the results is scheduled to be followed by Form One selection, most likely after Christmas to provide parents time to prepare their children before the start of school on January 23.
The examination, which was held from November 28 to 30, had 1,244,188 candidates registered. However, some candidates did not take the test owing to a variety of factors.
While KCPE exam applicants are anxiously awaiting their results, Grade 6 students who took the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) are not.
This follows the recommendation of the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms that the evaluation not be used for placement into junior secondary school, removing the high stakes often associated with national exams. The students will continue to progress to JSS in their present elementary schools.
