ANNOUNCEMENT OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Secretary of the Secretariat for Employment in the Public Service on behalf of the Council
Mtwara District welcomes job applications from qualified Tanzanians and
the ability to fill one (01) position as outlined in this announcement.
1.0 EMPLOYER: DIRECTOR, DISTRICT COUNCIL OF
MTWARA
1.0.1 STANDARD STUDY (AGRICULTURE) GRADE II – (POSITION 1)
1.0.2 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Advise farmers on the best use of agricultural implements for
actions.
ii. Train farmers to design and maintain tools for
agriculture.
iii. Develop tools farming.
iv. Collect and maintain data for agricultural implements.
v. Collect and maintain data for irrigated agriculture.
vi. Assist in the construction of irrigation canals
vii. Participate in savings for irrigated agriculture.
viii. Participate in the construction of small dams.
ix. To perform such other functions as may be assigned to him by his Chief of Staff.
 
1.0.3 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Employees who have graduated from the two-year Diploma in Instrument Vocational Training
agricultural or standardized irrigation technologies.
1.0.4 SALARY
Based on Government standards i.e. TGS.C
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL WORKS.
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens and not older than 45 years.
ii. All applicants must attach a birth certificate.
iii. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have qualified for
intervene in different cadres than they have, pass their application letters

vii. Applicants who have studied outside Tanzania should verify their certificates
have been approved and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
viii. Applicants who have been cleared in the Public Service are not allowed to apply
