How to watch DStv Now on your smart TV

DStv Now apps are currently available for Samsung, LG, and Hisense smart TVs. Learn how to set it up.

Make your TV a hub for DStv
There are several lean-back apps for DStv that let you watch it on your smart TV (a TV that is connected to the Internet) without a decoder. Apps for DStv Now can be used on the following devices:

Samsung smart TVs (selected models from 2015 onwards)
Hisense smart TVs (selected models from 2018 onwards)
LG smart TVs (models running webOS 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0)
How to put the new DStv Now app on your smart TV
You can use an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi to connect your smart TV to the internet.
Search for “DStv Now” in the App Store on your TV and install the app.
Once the app is on your TV, it will show you a code.
Sign in at now.dstv.com on a laptop or desktop computer.
Once you’re signed in, go to now.dstv.com/tv, enter the code shown on the TV, and click “Sign in on TV.”
The app is now available on TV.

Who is DStv Now for?
It is like DStv, but online. If you can’t be home to watch your favorite shows on your decoder, you can watch DStv on your laptop, tablet, or phone by going to now.dstv.com. All DStv subscribers get it for free (just remember to keep an eye on your data).

How many people can watch at the same time on DStv Now?

With DStv Now, you can use two different devices to watch two different streams at the same time. This means that you can use the same account to watch TV on a decoder in the living room, a movie on a tablet in the bedroom through DStv Now, and sports on a different smart TV through DStv Now. It’s also a great way for kids who are away from home to get the most out of the family’s DStv subscription!

There are also apps for DStv Now on the following devices:

Xbox game systems (Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X)
The Apple TV (4th generation and newer)
Players that use Android TV to play media (Google-certified devices only)
