FASSET Bursary For South Africans 2023

 

The Skills Development Act (Act 97 of 1998) and the Skills Development Levies Act set up the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET). FASSET is a public organization (Act no 9 of 1999).

It works with the South African Revenue Service, the national and provincial treasuries, and other businesses that help with financial processes like debt collection.

FASSET Bursaries: South African students who want to get a degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Actuarial Studies at a Public University or University of Technology can get a bursary from FASSET.

Or, Public TVET College to get a qualification in Finance and Business.

The scholarship pays for the student’s tuition, books, housing, meals, and data.

 

 

How to Get a Scholarship and Who Can Get One

Before applying, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Finished the Matric (students currently in Matric will be able to apply from 15 January 2023, after results are released)
  • studying or planning to study for a qualification in one of the above fields
  • studying, signed up to study, or been accepted to study at a public tertiary institution that is recognized and accredited (TVET College, University or University of Technology)
  • Gross household income of no more than R600,000 per year (income before deductions)

Online applications must be sent to FASSET Bursary Application 2022.
Along with your application, send clear copies of the following supporting documents:

  • A signed copy of your ID card
  • Proof of enrollment and acceptance at an approved college or university (on institutions letterhead)
  • A certified copy of the IDs of your parents or guardians
  • Guardians or parents proof that the family has money (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of pension or grant if applicable)
  • A copy of your completed qualifications, if you have any, that has been signed off by a professional.
  • Proof of where you live
