Girabola ZAP

In January 2016, Angolan subscription TV satellite and cable provider ZAP, the Angolan Football Federation and the Girabola clubs, signed a three-year deal in which ZAP will have broadcast rights over all Girabola matches. As part of the deal, the Angolan state-owned TV station TPA will be allowed to broadcast one game per week on its free-view platform. Also as part of the deal, the Girabola changes its denomination to Girabola ZAP

Association ranking for 202021 CAF Champions League and 2020–21 CAF Confederation Cup will be based on results from each CAF tournament (Champions League and Confederation Cup) from 2016 to 2019–20.

Grupo Desportivo Sagrada Esperança, usually known as Sagrada Esperança, is a football (soccer) club from Dundo, Lunda Norte province, Angola. The club won its first title, the Angolan Cup, in 1988.
The club’s name is likely to originate from Angola’s first president Agostinho Neto’s famous poem Sagrada Esperança (Sacred Hope). The club was founded on December 22, 1976 by then Angola-state owned diamond company Diamang (now Endiama), which remains as its major sponsor.
In 2005, the club, managed by Mário Calado, won the league by having one point ahead ASA . In the same year, the club disputed the CAF Champions League, but was eliminated in the 1/16 Finals by ASEC Abidjan of Ivory Coast, after a 2–2 draw at home in the first leg, and a 1–0 defeat in the second leg, played in Abidjan

Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, best known as Petro Atlético de Luanda, or simply Petro Atlético or Petro de Luanda, is a traditional football club from Luanda, Angola, founded in 1980. The club won its first title, the Angolan League, in 1982 and is the most successful team in the country.
In its initial days, the club was known as Petroclube.
Four players from Petro Atlético represented Angola at their first World Cup in 2006: Lebo Lebo, Lamá, Zé Kalanga and Delgado.
The club has also a basketball team. Many basketball players of the team, participated with Angola national basketball team in the Olympics 2008.
Sporting Clube de Luanda best known as Sporting de Luanda, is an Angolan multisports club based in Luanda. The club’s football team, while being one of the most ancient and traditional clubs in Luanda, has been out of major competition due to financial reasons.
The team was founded in 1920.
During the colonial period in Angola, the club has won eight times the Angolan Provincial Championship the top division of Angolan football as a Portuguese colony.
Following the country’s independence in 1975 and in an attempt by the communist regime to erase all traces of colonial rule, the club which has been created as an affiliate to Sporting Clube de Portugal was ordered to change its name and therefore became known as Diabos Verdes (Green Devils), effective from January 31, 1980.
In February 1981, the club’s name changed again as Leões de Luanda (Luanda’s Lions).
In the early 1990s, with the establishment of democracy, the club was able to reclaim its original name.
